(Un)Employment

From the 'worst' news of the Patterico post [by DRJ]:

• 411,000 were census jobs
• 31,000 were temporary help services (BP clean-up hires?)
• 215,000 jobs were “created” using the BLS “birth-death” mathematical model

If you remove the 657,000 temporary and formula jobs from the reported 431,000 jobs added, you’re left with a stunning stat:

The economy actually lost 226,000 jobs last month.

This is bad indeed

Memorial Day

This goes out to all the fallen and the families that have had to suffer so that America can and always will be a bastion of freedom in an imperfect world.

On this day, politics aside, everyone in this country should remember those brothers and sisters who have, with ultimate honor, sacrificed their most precious possession to ensure the freedoms that we happily squabble over like children.
